I guess I sorta dropped off the planet…

Filed under: Lauren — ccpr @ 12:11 am

Just a brief update from me…I’ve been back in Hamilton (and Toronto) mainly doing some free lance work.  A couple of weeks ago, actually close to a month ago now, I finished my latest contract as a PR and Media Relations consultant for the municipal elections.  Definitely a lot of fun and I had a lot of say in what happened.  Wielding the power was great!

I’ve been getting my paperwork in order to head over to work in the UK, I’ve got some family there that have been helping me scout out some jobs.  Nothing is a sure bet yet, but we’ll see what happens.

Other than that, its been a pretty boring existence -  did some travelling,  concert going, pub crawling…all that sorta fun stuff!

Anywho…hope everything is going well for all you London people buried in the snow.  Have a great Christmas, and maybe next time I’m down that way, we can all hit up Molly Blooms or something for some good ole CCPR fun.

Finally Working!

Filed under: RachelH — ccpr @ 10:26 pm

Hey all!

I’m happy to report that tomorrow marks my second casual Friday at my new job.  I am the new Sales and Marketing Assistant (and I know that’s not supposed to be capitalized) at Nothers which is an award and recognition company in London for anyone who doesn’t know.  A huge thanks to Amanda for giving out the heads up on this position.  It’s been pretty good so far, everyone is really nice but there is a lot to take it.  And I’m moving into a new apartment on Saturday.  It’s really cute and it’s a two bedroom so there will be lots of room for all my stuff.  And another big thanks to Erin for letting me stay at her place for the last two weeks.  So everyone can feel free to drop me a line if you’re around and want to check out my new place.  And if your company wants to start up an employee rewards program, you know who to call.

Keep in touch everyone

Joining the working class!

Filed under: Megan — ccpr @ 4:34 pm

Hi all,

Well, it took a while, but I finally found a great job!

I’ve been offered the position of Donor Relations Coordinator at Mission Services of London. I’ll be helping to maintain the database, as well as helping with special events and developing the newsletter.

I’ve also joined the MS Society of London Board of Directors. They asked me to come on as Co-Director of Events. Another volunteer and I, as co-directors, are overseeing the fundraising that will be going on at the London chapter, as well as liasing with Ontario and National Division.

On top of all that, I’m helping to organize the media and PR for FUNdraising Friday for Jesse’s Journey. It’s an all new event this year, and it’s gonna be awesome! So when you hear something on the radio or see something on tv about “Walk Across Canada in a Day for Jesse’s Journey”, think of me :)

I hope everyone is doing well. Merry Christmas!!

Megan
